Thusly,\u00a0the result is an ever finer mesh through which the data is filtered.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>For example:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Say we want to check how much &#8216;Cash&#8217; we spent in May in &#8216;Food and drinks&#8217;\u00a0category.<\/p>\n<p><strong>First<\/strong>, we will navigate to May in the time span selector on top.<\/p>\n<p>We covered time span in another tutorial: <a href=\"https:\/\/toshl.com\/blog\/my-financial-month-time-spans-web-app\/\">My Financial Month &amp; Time Spans<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Second<\/strong>,\u00a0we will open accounts filtering.\u00a0We set\u00a0all accounts to OFF by clicking the topmost switch next to &#8220;All accounts&#8221; and set\u00a0only the &#8216;Cash&#8217; account to ON.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re really into switches, you can also\u00a0disable all but the &#8216;Cash&#8217; account one by one. Whatever\u00a0floats your boat. We are left with proper meals, paid with cash.<\/p>\n<p>If you change your mind about which tags\u00a0you would like to filter by, click on one of the tags\u00a0you selected and is currently displayed in the input field. Use them to display only the expenses made at certain venues, or exclude certain venues.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are also detailed\u00a0filtering options present on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/toshl.com\/blog\/financial-data-exports-web-app\/\">export &amp; reports screen<\/a><\/strong>. Those filters\u00a0are separate and filter just the\u00a0data for exporting and reports.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s it! Check out the filtering,\u00a0play around with it and always remember to keep an extra bussiness card in your wallet!
